My wife wants to cook a ham for Christmas! A ham! She says it's just as traditional. I say - all of our guests will be pissed!

It's show off time for us - we spend 3 days getting ready for guests and it's always the same thing, it's a freakin' contest. I am getting tired of it - feel like gettign KFC and conceding defeat. My wife's family take this more seriously than the SuperBowl

Not to diss your wife, but it's really should be ham. You guys have guests arriving (are they rtravelling far?) with gifts - give 'em what they expect. IMO

I disagree!!! Who's doing the cooking? If it's her then you should let her decide. Food is food, and there's nothing wrong with a ham.

At Xmas we have fish. At Easter we have meats, and at Thanksgiving then we have turkey.
