Well, we usually go south to the Caribbean every February - but have decided to stay home and just work around the house - sad! We decided this for 2 reasons: less certainty about my job, and less certianty about the travel industry. Anyone else cutting back on travel in 2009?

I myself usually go away every year but had to cut back on pretty much everything. I was not laid off but they cut back my hours. It's a scary thing, but you're not alone!

There are some travel agencies that are offering some ridiculously low vacation packages. I know it's a struggle but some places are very understanding and trying to help. I saw a commercial last night where the company was offering 40% off your vacation!
