Sunday Brunch at Canada's Wonderland!

Speeding Street Racing - why are so few convicted?

It is perhaps a great idea that vehicles involved in street racing or extreme speeding can be siezed, but is it enough? In the week of recent tragedies, it looks like many young men are given a ticket, lose some demerit points - but then carry on to do the same thing. So, it doesn't look like the financial penalties do much good, and perhaps there aren't enough seizures.

211 Hospital Sites in Ontario - none in Woodbridge / Vaughan

Well, it looks like we are incing closer to getting a hospital in the Vaughan area. After the successful run in May, local politicians have voted to release funds to buy land for the hospital. The Run for Vaughan events have raised over $150,000 towards the charity to bring a hospital here. (pictured: home page for RunForVaughan.com) Michael DeGasperis, chair of the Vaughan Health Care Foundation, said they have reduced 28 potential locations to six.
